  9. This is EMailR, a small utility which allows you to check all of your e-mail
  10. accounts at one time, without having to change your server name, user name,
  11. and password.  You can also specify how often you want EMailR to
  12. check for new mail, and it will alert you when it finds new messages.
  13.  
  14. EMailR is designed to run in the background and take a very small amount
  15.  of system resources.

  17. NOTE:  EMailR only works with POP3 Servers.

  20. Minimum Requirements

  23. EMailR requires the following:
  24.  
  25. -  IBM PC or compatible.
  26. -  Microsoft Windows 3.1, NT, or  95
  27. -  Winsock 1.1 API compliant networking package
  28. -  A mail account with an Internet Service Provider or an 
  29.    Internet-style network.
  30. -  Access to your mail account via a modem (9600 bps or higher recommended) 
  31.    or Internet-style network connection.
  32. -  Microsoft (or compatible) mouse (highly recommended)

  37. Installation

  40. To install EMailR, download the zip file (EMailR.zip)) into a 
  41. directory on your PC.  Use PKUnzip to unzip the file.  The
  42. executable file is called "EMailR.exe".  Launch the application
  43. to begin checking your mail.  However, you must first specify
  44. your server names, user names, and passwords.  Click on the
  45. middle button (the Setup button).  This will bring up a dialog box
  46. which will prompt you to enter your POP3 server names, user names,
  47. and passwords.  Note that the passwords are NOT encrypted.  Enter
  48. the period that you want EMailR to check for new mail in the upper
  49. box.  If you have been given a registration number, enter it into the
  50. bottom box. ( NOTE:  Please register your version of EMailR...it only
  51. costs $5.00!  Plus, you will get any future updates.  And you won't get
  52. my message to register anymore!).  Click on OK.

  54. To get your messages, click on the left button (the Get Mail button).
  55. EMailR will check each server for any new messages.  If you don't have
  56. any, it continues on to check the next server.  If you do have messages, you
  57. will get a message telling which server has messages, and how many.

  64. If you experience something you think might be a bug in EMailR, please
  65. report it by sending a message to harrison@worldweb.net.  Describe what
  66. you did, what happened, any error messages EMailR gave, what kind of
  67. computer you have, which operating system you're using, and
  68. anything else you think might be relevant.

  107. the user a nonexclusive license to use this EMailR Software solely for its
  108. internal personal  purposes.  The user may not commercially distribute,
  109. sublicense, resell, or otherwise transfer for any consideration, or
  110. reproduce for any such purposes, the EMailR software or any modification or
  111. derivation thereof, either alone or in conjunction with any other product
  112. or program.  Further, the user may not modify the EMailR Software in any way.

  114. THIS EMAILR SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED TO THE USER ''AS IS.''  THE DEVELOPER MAKES NO
  115. WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THIS EMAILR SOFTWARE
